Serving as your Digital Sherpa
Sherpas guide hundreds of climbers each year to the summit of Mount Everest. Similarly, we see ourselves as trusted, experienced guides for our clients. Only a handful of companies have been developing apps as long as CrossComm. We are not hackers, we are going to build stuff the right way. We have an appreciation for long term and sound system architecture from our 16 year history. We are still hungry and and eager to get in new projects and value the opportunities we are given. STEP 1: WE LISTEN &. LEARN. CrosssComm takes time to fully understand and appreciate your application. What is the mission of your app? Who are the users and what are their unique desires when using the app? We deliver a report detailing these items back to each client to ensure our understanding is correct. After confirming your app's required attributes, as well as potential hangups that will turn off users, we journey up the mountain together for the next step of designing the app with wireframing.
STEP 2 CREATING THE BLUEPRINT. Here we take all the newly gathered information from the deep dive Functionality Brief combined with our knowledge of industry best practices and hands on experience to begin the screen design process. User interfaces are created and critiqued until we achieve the perfect app layout. Next, we put life and color into the general design with graphic elements during the Design phase.
STEP 3 MOCKUPS. These are built upon the functionality wireframes to demonstrate the final appearance of your website or mobile app. Think of this as the visual design draft. We can use existing brand or style guides for established brands or we can create these from scratch. We love the moment when clients see the project come to life with colors and graphics. After some fine tuning we are off to the next phase on the journey up the mountain- Development!
STEP 4 BUILDING & TESTING. Time for you to sit back and relax as CrossComm begins developing your custom application through agile development methodology. This means you receive a transparent view into the process with a weekly review of the app. We can reprioritize once you have a chance to "play around" and experience your new creation. After testing is complete we prepare for launch by guiding you up to the summit!
STEP 5 LAUNCH DAY. High-fives, popping open some bubbly, and shouts of joy are common reactions from our team when we launch a website or app. This moment never gets old, even after 16 years of assisting deployment events. While we love the journey to the top of the mountain, CrossComm also guides clients back down with ongoing maintenance plans so the journey doesn't end here!
