We’ve assembled a great team for you to work with and, until you can meet us in person, here’s some information about a few of our senior employees.
Don Shin
President and CEO
Don founded CrossComm Inc. in 1998 as a “one-man shop” during his time as a student at Duke University. Since then Don has worked at CrossComm as a designer, a programmer, an account manager, a server administrator, and pretty much any other role we’ve ever had. As the company has grown to a thriving business Don realized he couldn’t do it all alone so now, as President and CEO, he serves primarily in executive and business development roles.
David Mooring
Executive Vice President
David works in tandem with Don to consult on clients’ online strategies and develop long-term business relationships, while ensuring a high level of customer service. David also focuses on team building and staff development, pulling from his more than 15 years of management experience at companies such as Manpower and Enterprise Rent-A-Car. David earned his BA in International Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, his MBA from Regent University, and his #1 Dad mug from his son Caleb.
Jessica Efird
Senior Account Manager
Jessica serves as the primary contact for the majority of CrossComm’s customers, including the Wilmington/Cape Fear Coast CVB, the Durham CVB, JM Eagle, and SciFi, to name a few. As Senior Account Manager, Jessica manages project timelines, budgets, and reporting, and works closely with the client at each step of the project. Internally, Jessica also manages CrossComm’s day-to-day production resources and keeps everyone supplied with sodas.
Jessica-Claire Jones
Office Manager
Jessica-Claire oversees many of the day-to-day operations of CrossComm, including hiring, communicating company policies to team members, managing our benefits and human resources tasks, overseeing team schedules, and keeping the power on. Jessica-Claire’s organizational skills are also applied toward domain management and project management.
Sean Doherty
Senior Web Programmer/System Architect
Sean serves as CrossComm's chief software architect and systems engineer. He earned both his BS in Computer Science and MS in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and is proficient in numerous programming languages. Sean works with our account managers and clients to ensure all the technical project needs are met, trains and supervises other programmers, and manages several Fantasy Sports teams.
Steve Hong
Senior Web Developer
Steve has worked with Don for nearly ten years, serving as CrossComm's senior web developer and specialist in online marketing. Steve continues to stay on top of ever-changing trends in search engine optimization, working with numerous clients in their ongoing efforts in e-marketing. In addition to his SEO work, Steve designs certain marketing materials, studies Kyokushin karate, and also cooks amazing meals that make us all jealous at lunch.
