Typically, we start the design process with an intensive meeting: our designer and project manager sit down with your main decision makers to learn the ins and outs of what you need to communicate with your design. You'll then receive 2 or 3 design concepts for the homepage and choose one that meets your needs. You'll receive two further rounds of revisions to result in one homepage template and one interior page template that meet your needs exactly.
Of course, there are other design processes that can be modified to meet your specific needs. Open-source Content Management Systems provide pre-made templates that can be modified if you are looking for a lower-cost solution. On the other side of the spectrum, some clients need a more intensive design process that will require more than 3 rounds of proofs or will result in more than 2 templates.
